We are painting a family tree -- a big mural for the wall in our dining room. I printed out a fan chart on
Family Search Family Tree and discovered that our children have six full generations of ancestors filled in their family tree! Family history is so awesome!
Last night we worked on the foundation.
We worked on the bottom half of the tree first -- here are the kids painting the trunk and roots. Eventually the finished tree will end up on the wall to the left.
Even Alexander got in on the action!
We gave him his own paper to paint on, but he kept sneaking his brush onto Dallin's page instead.
The more serious and dedicated painters came back after bedtime to paint the branches.
Scott ensured quality control and added the finishing touches. Emerald learned to follow the grain, after repeated instruction.
