We were all so excited to get to go to Disneyland!
We left Pocatello at 7:30 Monday morning, June 5. We drove all day with only a few short stops, and arrived in Anaheim around 9:30 p.m.
Autumn booked three nights for us at the Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance hotel. Here are all the kids on the balcony of our hotel room:
(Sadly, Jessalyn, Isaac, and Joel had to work and weren't able to come with us.)
Emerald and Dallin shared one of the queen-sized beds.
Alexander and Aysha slept in the bunk bed, with Al on the bottom and Aysha on top.
We met Grand Dad and walked to McDonald's for a late dinner. Alexander and I watched the Disneyland fireworks from the windows of the restaurant while we waited for our food.
In spite of the late night, everyone was ready to go to Disneyland bright and early Tuesday morning:
And here we are!
The weather was a cool 70 degrees and the sky was overcast all day Tuesday. The park was relatively uncrowded Tuesday morning, and we were able to ride lots of rides.
The first ride that caught everyone's eyes was the carousel:
Aysha stayed with Dad off the ride while he videoed the action. I stood by Alexander, and Emerald and Dallin found neighboring horses they liked.
Toon Town was a favorite section of the park for the younger kids. They enjoyed climbing around Chip n Dale's Treehouse and Goofy's playground.
Emerald chose a BB8 Mickey Mouse hat for her souvenir:

Everyone enjoyed the Jungle Cruise. We had to work hard to get everyone on at the same time -- we almost missed Scott -- but fortunately it worked out just in time! We had a very "punny" guide, who had Grand Dad laughing throughout the tour.
Alexander fell instantly in love with the Astro Orbiter. He rode it a total of four times Tuesday and Thursday. Here is his first time:
He liked to push the thrust lever all the way forward so he was as high as possible the whole ride.
Alexander often entertained himself in line by creating bubble sculptures on the fence railings with his bubble wand:
We were so busy having fun that I didn't get any more photos. Alexander's other favorite ride that he rode four times was Gadget's Go Coaster - a kid-sized roller coaster in Toon Town.
Everyone got to ride every ride they most wanted to except for a few that we saved for first thing Thursday morning. Also, we were sad to see that the Mark Twain Riverboat was closed for park remodeling.
Around 5:00 we left the park and walked to The Pizza Press restaurant. We were so tired, we nearly all fell asleep sitting at the table while Scott ordered and picked up our pizzas. Alexander fell sound asleep and wouldn't walk back to the hotel. Aysha carried him piggyback most of the two blocks.
Our hotel had Netflix, so we watched a movie in our room while we ate our pizza. It was a nice, relaxing night to end our wonderful, busy day.
