California Vacation - last day

On Thursday, we went early to the park.  It was much busier on Thursday than Tuesday.  There were a few rides we missed Tuesday that we wanted to ride first off.  One was Splash Mountain. Alexander got splashed right on his lap and cried the whole rest of the ride.

Alexander's favorite ride was the Astro Orbiter.  We went on it at least four times.  Here we are in line with our special tickets:

I rode with Aysha this time:

On the ship ahead of us was Scott and Alexander.  In front of them, Emerald and Dallin rode together:

Alexander and I had some time together while the others went through the Haunted Mansion.  He wanted to ride the park transportation, so we took a horse-drawn trolley to the front of the park, then rode on the top of the double-decker bus back to the rides again.

Here is our view up Main Street from the top deck:

We met up with the others and rode the Casey Jr. Circus Train all together on the caboose!

The kids loved climbing around Chip n Dale's Treehouse, but only Emerald would pose for a photo:

Alexander was so excited to get a big swirly lollipop like the ones we passed in the hotel gift shop every day:

While Dad went on a ride with Xavier, the rest of us stood in line and rode the Mad Tea Party together.  It's hard to tell from the photos, but the kids laughed and laughed.  Em took a break from driving to just enjoy the view for a minute.

After the sun came out, we stood in line for "It's a Small World."

Then we were ready for lunch and a rest.  Alexander said he couldn't walk all the way to the front of the park without stopping to rest on this bench:

Then we left the park to eat lunch at IHOP.   Gran, Grand Dad, Autumn's family and Melody and her family met us there.  We had a long, fun visit together.

We transferred hotels.  We were farther from Disneyland, but we had a much bigger suite in our second hotel.  The kids had a great time playing in the hotel pool until I finally made them come out at 9:00 so they could eat and go to bed.
