So many things happened just this weekend! The most notable is that Jessalyn and Emerald went to the Alex Boye concert at the Portneuf Wellness Complex amphitheater. They were able to get some great seats, dance on the stage for one of the songs, and get a selfie with the performer himself after the concert!!

Jessalyn and Emerald were the only ones available to attend the concert, because Scott was working, Skyler was not feeling well, and Elder Entrikin and I had a picnic to attend for service missionaries and their families. We brought Rayden with us, and the three of us had a great time visiting with other service missionaries and their families, eating a really nice dutch oven dinner, swinging on the swings, chasing a cat, and playing volleyball. I don't have any photos of the picnic, because I didn't have pockets, so I left my phone in the car. It was a lot of fun, though! Rayden had a blast! He was happy and friendly the whole night, and we even stayed an hour past his bedtime!
Elder Entrikin and Dallin were able to attend the fireside that Alex Boye presented on Sunday night. They were not as fortunate as Jessalyn and Emerald in getting close seats, but they were able to get some seats, which was pretty good considering the number of people attending! And twice during the presentation, Alex Boye came out through the crowd, so they were able to see him close up a couple of times.

On Monday morning, Elder Entrikin attended an area meeting for all of the proselyting missionaries in the Idaho Pocatello Mission with Alex Boye at the Wellness Complex. They invited anyone who still had a missionary badge to come wearing their badges so they could be in some scenes for Alex Boye's upcoming movie that he is working on. Elder Entrikin was very excited to get to be an extra in the movie! He earned the experience by sitting at the Wellness Complex out in the heat from 8:30 a.m. until 1:00! Monday was a long, exciting day!
Emerald and I were not able to attend the fireside Sunday night, because we were out proselyting ourselves! My friend, Emily, mentioned that her ward had invited her family to a ward ice cream social at Ammon Park. She said her daughter, Shylee, was interested, because she likes ice cream, but Emily didn't feel like socializing with people was worth it for an ice cream cone. So I volunteered Emerald and I to take Shylee to the social because Emerald also likes ice cream and I like ward parties! And the Eschler's agreed! So Emerald, Shylee, and I went to the Tendoy Ward Social at Ammon Park Sunday night. We got ice cream, swung on the swings, climbed a tree, rolled down the hill, and Emerald and Shylee both tried ice blocking! They both had a nice time. Here are a couple photos:

Dallin and Alexander have enjoyed the hot summer days in our back yard. They made up a game that involved large water balloons on the trampoline. They needed a way to transport the balloons, so they created a "Balloon Bus." Here are some photos of Dallin and Alexander filling their Balloon Bus:

The end of the school year was so full of graduation excitement and other busy things, that we decided to have Emerald's birthday party on June 12. She invited LeAnne, Nicole, Maya, and Xan. It was the first time that all five of them have gotten together in person since Covid shut everything down a year and a half ago. All except Xan were able to have a D&D party last spring, but Xan's family has been quarantining until they all received their vaccinations. The girls were all so happy just to laugh and talk and be silly together. They had so many funny conversations before they settled down a little bit to eat cake and ice cream and play board games. Emerald, Nicole, and LeAnne decorated cupcakes while they waited for Maya and Xan to arrive. Emerald's birthday cake was a small, two-layer, heart-shaped cake. She was only going to put one candle on it, but Nicole insisted she have 16. So they all squeezed 16 candles onto the small cake, then Nicole lit all of them with another candle. It took her a while to get all 16 candles lighted. Then she blew out the candle she was using to light them and .... blew out half of the candles on the cake! Here are Emerald's, LeAnne's, and Xan's reactions to seeing the candles blown out by Nicole:

After that, Nicole relit the candles on the cake, and Xan volunteered to blow out the lighting candle so the lit candles would not be endangered:

On Friday, Alexander was invited to his friend, Paxton's, birthday party at Deleta skating rink. Alexander was so excited for Paxton to open the present he gave him - a crossbow dart shooter and some of Paxton's favorite candy - that he stayed in the party room until it was time for cake and ice cream and presents. After that part, though, Alexander decided to venture out and do some roller skating with a skate-mate assist. Here are a couple of action shots:
And here are a couple of cute photos of Rayden that Skyler sent to our family WhatsApp chat on June 10:
Rayden wanted to go outside one morning, so Jessalyn and Skyler said, "You need to get dressed first!" So he put on Jessalyn's hat:
