Alexander has loved helping in the garden this summer, but we never allow him to shovel the dirt as enthusiastically as he would like. I told him the night before that we would go to the beach the next day, and he could shovel all day long. He was so excited, he couldn't sleep that night. He did shovel all day long, and he loved it so much that he still didn't want to go home when it was time to leave.
Grand Dad brought our cousins, Sandy and Barbara, and his fishing boat. We went to the north shore of Bear Lake, where the water is shallow for almost as far as you can see.
Everyone had a wonderful last day of summer vacation together.
