Valentine's Dinner

We had a great time celebrating V-Day with the family this year.  At the suggestion of Travis, my partner, we had a nice, candlelit, family dinner together.  We talked about good manners and told funny stories Tiffany and I have had dating each other before and after we got married.

We also talked a bit about things that each of the kids might want to think about in their own future 'someone special'.  The reactions were all-too stereotypical!
  • The older girls nodded their heads knowingly and said that they have already begun making lists of what they want - they didn't share too much of their lists with us.
  • The boys wrinkled their noses in disgust and swore it would never happen to them - and if it did they would likely barf.
  • The younger girls giggled and told stories about fairy tales where they featured prominently as the heroine.
  • And the baby just stuffed his face with rolls gleefully and laughed when anyone else did.

It was a really fun experience and I think we'll be adding it to our list of family traditions.  We are so blessed to have so much love in our home!

This pretty girl said she would be my Valentine!  Sorry lads, she's taken...
