New Logo for Bridges Idaho

Isaac and I have been working on a logo redesign for the Bridges committee. Bridges is a committee to support refugees here in Pocatello. We mostly work with the refugee center in Twin Falls, so the Perrine Bridge is the focal point of the logo.

I sent this email to the committee when Isaac finished. Or nearly finished - they asked him to add the "Idaho" after "Bridges," and we also reworded the bottom:

"My son, Isaac Entrikin, a freelance graphic designer, created this logo redesign for Bridges.

"It keeps the Perrine Bridge and the people as a focal point. It looks good graphically, whether larger or smaller. It is round, so that it will work well on buttons. It is colorful to attract attention in our new digital age.

"Let me know what you think!"

The committee was excited about the new logo. They printed some shirts with the logo on it and gave Isaac and I each a logo shirt. Pretty cool! Isaac is really proud of it.

Here is the original "logo" for the Bridges committee:

When Isaac started creating the new graphic, the committee requested that he keep the Perrine Bridge, to connect the committee with Twin Falls, where the CSI Refugee Center is.

I looked up photos of the bridge on the internet for reference and saw these photos with the huge American flag. Here is an article about the flying of the flag on the Perrine Bridge every September 11:

"TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The giant 150-foot by 78-foot flag display under the Perrine bridge will be back beginning on Monday, September 11th.

Follow the flag organization, along with the Twin Falls County Sheriff Search and Rescue, SORT (Magic Valley Paramedics) and the Twin Falls Fire Department installed the ropes last night.

"The flag will be displayed Monday, September 11, through next Saturday the 16th to honor those who died on September 11th and for all of our military members.

"Follow the Flag is a non-profit organization whose goal is to honor all of our military members, to heal and to inspire. "
