Festivities

"Happily Ever After" is the story of Coral's beautiful wedding day.  This post is more about the Pocatello reception for Coral and Erik on September 19, with a few more behind-the-scenes shots.

Here is our whole new family, except for Jessalyn.  Jessalyn had to fly back to Hawaii after the sealing.

Before the reception Saturday evening, we asked Jenna Miller, of Jenn's Lens Photography, to take some family photos of all of us in our wedding reception finery.  Jen generously stayed for the whole reception to take photos of our wonderful friends and family who came to celebrate, and the cutting of the cake afterward.

Our friend and neighbor, Beverly, made the beautiful cake for us

My Aunt Linette made Coral's bouquet and all of our corsages and boutonnieres:
Erik designed Coral's ring and had it custom-made from jewels that have been in his family for generations.

My friend, Becca, and her family helped us decorate and came back after the reception to help us clean up!

We had to have a candy bar at the reception, because we love candy!

Here is Alexander, gleefully dashing away with a cup of Swedish fish:

Here are Dallin, Emerald, and Emerald's best friend, LeAnne.  LeAnne and her family made all of the chicken salad sandwiches, fruit, and fruit dip for the reception.  It was delicious!
You can see from Emerald's mouth that the bright blue candies
which matched Coral and Erik's wedding colors so well
also colored teeth!

Aysha is getting a cup of water from one of two matching punch bowls
that were gifts to Scott and I at our wedding:

And speaking of something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue:
Coral is wearing the earrings that I wore on my wedding day!

I love this photo of Erik's mom trying to fix Erik's hair when they came out of the temple:

Perfect day!
